In this session, participants will gain a foundational understanding of emotional disabilities, including common characteristics, underlying causes, and how these needs may present as challenging behaviors in the classroom. The session will explore the connection between behavior and regulation, practical intervention strategies, classroom supports, and effective response techniques that promote student success while maintaining a positive learning environment. Staff will also learn about available school-based services, referral processes, and resources to strengthen collaboration and consistency across settings.
The iCEV platform will be covered with the intent of demonstrating how it can be used more effectively by teachers, including: lesson plans, customized testing, student usage reports, certifications, year at glance, and student modifications.
